On the Road to Bhopal

So we're travelling from Indore to Bhopal. Its a scary road. Traffic in Indore goes both ways in the right lane, and the left lane. On the highway, I see why. All trucks get used to overtaking in the opposite lane. The roadblocks are bullock carts, motorbike riders with a death-wish, slow trucks with over 3 feet of protruding metal beams and so on.

We pick up a CD at the breakfast stop. A compilation of latest hindi songs. An original on T-series. When the car starts, we put in the CD. Soni de Nakhare from Partner starts playing. About 1 minute into the song, the track jumps. Ok, its a bad road. And an auto DJ can be fun. The CD pops out. John puts it in. Restart from the beginning. 2 lines in, another bump, another reboot.

We did that about 6 times. Then we tried the 2nd CD. Dupatta Tera from Partner. This time we had actually almost finished the song. And then - Reboot. And again. And again.

We stopped at the next chotu CD come everything shop. We picked up a CD. It was cheap. Better yet, it didn't jump.

Moral of the story...
a) Don't expect CDs to play on MP highways
b) Unless - you buy them cheap on the same said highways
